A bevy of top notch stars inclusive of Whitney Houston and Usher have been signed up to lend their exquisite vocals to a re-make of Michael Jackson’s ‘Will You Be There’, the hit single that came out in 1993. Larry King’s wife, Shawn King was the first to divulge the great news.
Shawn has made public that fact that Dionne Warwick, Wyclef Jean, Jermaine Jackson and Lionel Richie were slated to come together alongside Whitney Houston and Usher in the upcoming venture. The proceeds derived from this song would be divided in half among The Larry King Cardiac Foundation and an undisclosed charitable trust that was dear to Michael.
Meanwhile, a famed New York tabloid has stated that Shawn King has backtracked on her scheduled duet performance alongside Jermaine Jackson for the Michael Jackson homage concert due in Vienna on September 26. Her representative has quoted aforementioned commitments being the reason for the cancellation. She further mentioned that she had utmost adoration and reverence for Jermaine.
This cancellation comes to light subsequent to the confirmation that Whitney Houston and Madonna who were in the past rumoured to perform at the Vienna tribute concert on 26th September also called off their gig. It was earlier understood there would be a starry line up of performers for the Vienna concert which is still being finalised and would be disclosed soon.
