The clash of the titans ensues in ‘The Ugly Truth’, the amorous comical venture of Columbia Pictures. Katherine Heigl plays Abby Richter, the all-successful morning show producer who seems to be in a hapless position when it came to finding Mr.Right. In a vain attempt to fill her void, her superiors play cupid and try to set her up with the hunky Gerard Butler, who plays Mike Chadway, a television celebrity to the core.
Katherine is quite appalled by the series of despicable ordeals by her bigoted correspondent Mike, who vows to reveal the truth behind the facade about the opposite sexes and what makes them buzz. As Mike ingeniously plots and gambits to help Katherine find her better half, fate seems to have planned otherwise for this oddball duo.
The idiosyncratic relationship between the two is bound to offer some incredible riotous moments. Gerard’s last memorable movie was ‘P.S. I love you’ in 2007 and in 2009 has lent his voice for the movie ‘How to Train Your Dragon’. Katherine Heigl who shot to fame with her role as ‘Izzie’ in Grey’s Anatomy-the television drama series that garnered mass viewership, has given scintillating performance in this movie.
Get ready for some good chuckles as this romantic comedy showcases the unlikely journey of these two characters. The amazing chemistry that the two share, is bound to make the viewing quite amusing.

I have seen the previews on the TV and in the media and I know this is going to be another great movie of Gerard’s. He was so fantastic in Phantom of the Opera and then in P.S. I Love You. I know that The Ugly Truth will be another big hit for Gerard.
