The ‘Saturday Night Live’ season premiere is slated for a humongous kick-start to its 35th season on September 26, with none other than the sultry Megan Fox as the host. Megan would be seen doing the promotion rounds for her upcoming Diablo Cody-helmed, horror comedy film, ‘Jennifer’s Body’ to be released on 18th September and additionally taking centre stage hosting the SNL show.
To add to the hype, the musical guest of honour would be U2 bracing the stage on 26th September. The band would be performing merely two days subsequent to the Dublin based rockers h
auling in their 360° Tour to two fully packed nights at the venue of East Rutherford, New Jersey’s Giants Stadium.
U2’s forthcoming show on SNL would be the third performance that Bono, the Edge, Larry Mullen Jr. and Adam Clayton have belted out Rockfeller Center’s ‘Studio 8H’. The group ‘No Line on the Horizon’ were the band that had their first showing in SNL on 9th December, 2000, with Val Kilmer hosting that show, then made a comeback again on 20th November, 2004 with Luke Wilson who hosted that show.
Meanwhile, Saturday Night Live is believed to have notched the femme fatale quotient further with the addition of the duo femme fatales, Jenny Slate and Nasim Pedrad as their regular casts.
Don’t know if you can really say they upped the femme fatale quotient when you consider the fact they let Mikaela Watkins and the uber-spectacular Casey Wilson hit the highway. Seems like they’re back where they started, although I’m thrilled that Nasim Pedrad made the cut.
