Shakira and tennis ace Rafael Nadal played the perfect lovey-dovey pair in the ‘Gypsy’ music video.
Heavy stroking was the highlight of the lately premiered music video with the two over one another.
Shakira’s recent single ‘Gypsy’ starts off with a harmonica being played by the singer, the song progressing with the duo getting quite close.
Close to the concluding part of the music video, the two are seen sharing an intense lip lock moment.
Part of the singer’s sixth English studio album ‘She Wolf’, the song ‘Gypsy’ has also a re-recording been done in Spanish dubbed ‘Gitana’. The album has been available since October last year. The music video recordings in duo versions, English and Spanish has been under the direction of Jaume de Laiguana.
When interviewed on why she picked Rafael Nadal to lead her music video, Shakira stated that she wanted someone for the music video with whom she could identify with in some way. Shakira added that Rafael as an individual has always shown total commitment to his goals in life ever since he started off at just seventeen years of age. She added that the song symbolized her way of living and viewing life. She mentioned being on the road ever since she was quite a young girl and hence why the name for the song was derived from.
Lately rumours were rife about the duo dating following a series of meet ups inclusive of having dined together at a Barcelona hotel. However, Shakira’s rep flatly denied it mentioning that it was simply a dinner set up along with the director for briefing Rafael on what he is supposed to be doing in the music video.
