Director Kevin Greutert’s mind-boggling byzantine venture, SAW VI, is undeniably amongst the best SAWs till date, with ample jigsaw pieces of the movie to unpick.
The movie definitely shows more aggression in comparison to its previous antecedents. Amazing screenplay with several ensnares set in the course of the movie that cunningly manipulates oblivious victims into pitting against one another. Cinematographer David Armstrong had introduced some vastly lethal traps that are bound to be a real ocular stunner.
Great piece of work from David Armstrong with loads of visually overpowering scenes shot in the carousel room and the Steam room amongst others, that are by far the most elaborately designed and enacted, vicious, pricey traps ever in the entire SAW series.
The hottest swaying scream queen Shawnee Smith who has played Amanda in all the Saw series is back again with her acting prowess along with a host of new characters. After the unexpected death of Strahm, the Special Agent, Detective Hoffman played by Costas Mandylor turns out to be the indisputable descendant to Jigsaw’s bequest. Garett who luckily survives, opens up to Hoffman during his interrogation about the events surrounding his trap. Hoffman is taken aback when he realises that Garett was being made a target for no fault of his. As Hoffman panics about Garett soon unearthing his secret, he devises a sly ploy wherein his secret would most suitably end with Garett’s death. As the FBI inches close to get its claws on Hoffman, he is compelled to lay down a diversionary tactic as in eventual course of time Jigsaw’s grand ploy comes to light. To what extent is Garett’s sway in the ensuing games is to be watched out for, as an unforeseen string of events surface.
The SAW series of movies with their long ranging success are back once again to give their fans a taste of pure thrill and fright.
