The Christian Alvert directed ‘Pandorum’ is a gripping take on the fascinating sci-fi action concept of bizarre creatures stalking humans and the tense race to unravelling the conundrum that lays siege on the lives of the people besieged by it.
The story revolves around the petrifying tale of duo crew members who are startled to find themselves trapped aboard a spacecraft and eventually come to the perilous realization they are not the sole extant beings there.
Two highly-trained, adept space scientists that venture on a space mission find themselves in an awakened state subsequent to a protracted dormancy on an apparently deserted spaceship. With no reminiscence of the reason behind their hyper-slumber state, their task or identity or even the faintest idea of where the space shuttle is headed off to, they engage into an exploration of its interiors in an attempt to gain sanity of the situation and unearth a means to come out unscathed.
In utter obscurity, with a sense of disorientation and the audible resonance of the din and creak emanating from the core of the airship, the younger of the duo astronauts, Bower(Ben Foster) attempts to squeeze through the singular, constricted and dark passage out of the chamber. Lieutenant Payton (Dennis Quaid), the other astronaut decides to stay put for assistance on a radio transmitter. As Bower treads into the deep confines of the space craft, he is dumbfounded by the startling veracity.
With the gradual unearthing of the space ship’s malicious top secrets, the duo astronauts soon comprehend their crucial role in salvaging human kind that is critically dependant on their course of actions.
