Pablo Pineda a Spanish actor with Down syndrome grabs the best actor award at San Sebastian film festival for his poignant depiction of a man with disability in the movie. Pineda portrays as a 34 year old man with Down syndrome who secures university degree and fall in love with a colleague from his work place in the movie “Yo Tambien” which means “Me too”
This movie also grabbed a prize for best cinematography. Director of the movie Lu Chuan mentioned outside China not a soul no’s about this misfortune so it was a dream to make this movie. Person in the movie reflect actor’s own life owns a university degree in special education a believable and touching depiction of Daniel Sanz. Character Sanz to portray requires array of emotions such as joy, disappointment, sadness a lot of introspection. Co-star Lola Duenas who play as colleague in work place gained the best actress award. This movie took four years to complete counting from preparation to post production that too with a very low financial plan. The movie narrates the killing of around 300,000 Chinese civilians and prisoner of war by the Japanese attackers. Black and white film portrays the killing and rape of many Chinese civilians during the blockade of Nanjing. During the shoot of the movie, the director received a letter full of death warnings.
