After two months subsequent to his untimely demise, Michael Jackson would ultimately be put to rest on 29th August that might have just been his 51st birthday. The announcement was made by his father Joe Jackson who declared that Michael’s coffer was set for a burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Park at 10 a.m. on the coming Saturday.
The 80-year old Joe Jackson believed to have had a persistently tumultuous relationship with his famed son had stated that the plans were finalised is the past couple of days, though the kin has still to publicly declare it.
Subsequent to Jackson’s demise following a cardiac arrest, his remains have travelled many places from the memorial concert at the LA Staples Center on 7th July, to the crypt of Motown Records creator Berry Gordy which was moved out by Michael’s mother, Catherine following security concerns. Presently, it is been kept under freeze locker at the Freedom Mausoleum located in Glendale, California.
La Toya and oldest sibling Jackie were believed to have watched over a private interment on the Gordy plot at the Forest Lawn Cemetery located in Hollywood Hills that was more than a week back, till the kin head put it off during the last few moments.
When a third autopsy was ordered by the family the past week, Mrs. Jackson utilised it a pretext to keep Michael close to her. According to sources, Catherine is petrified at the thought of burying her son and can’t bear to let go of him.
Joe had opened up about Catherine being visibly shaken by her son’s death, but has been keeping herself occupied by tending to her three grand-children for whom she has lately been awarded custody, with Debbie Rowe being granted visitation charges to meet her two children.
