Stephen Patrick David Gately was an Irish pop singer of band Boyzone was found dead on his holiday trip in Majorca. Gately was with his partner Andrew Cowles. Cause of his death is not known yet. Sudden death of 33- year- old has shocked friends, fans, and music figures.
Gately band mates: Band mates were completely shattered by the loss of their friend and brother. They have shared wonderful times together over the years and were looking forward of sharing many more years. They described Stephen as a beautiful person in both body and spirit. They expressed their love and sympathy towards Andrew and Stephen’s family.
Boyzone Manager Louis Walsh: He was in complete shock as he was present with him at an awards ceremony few days back. He described Gately as a great man.
Ex Irish Taoiseach Bertie Ahern: He knew Gately’s family It is just a tragedy to the band and part of Irish life. 15 years, 33- year-old contributed fine music and at the peak edge of his career. His loss is a huge tragedy to Irish entertainment, Irish music as well.
Westlife Members: Members of Westlife band described Gately as friendly, positive spirit and a passionate performer and a truly wonderful person. Band mate met him in back 1998 for the first time and later on had the pleasures of meeting him numerous times.
Gately’s Agents: Expressed Stephen as very talented and it was a great pleasure to work with him. Thoughts and condolences are expressed to his dear ones. Stephen was both in and out of spotlight a genuine, funny, and charismatic person.
Sir Elton John: Stephen was a man with kind and gentle soul. He expressed his love and condolences to his partner Andy, friends and family members.
