Macau most obviously the hot bed for the most anticipated event is drawing close, with the seconds ticking on feverishly to the race to the IIFA 2009 mega event. Already, a bevy of star sightings in Macau, Anoushka Sharma, the actress Neelam Kothari, Masakali Babe, Sonam Kapoor, who seems to be on a upswing these days after an important mention in an international magazine and a close knit family affair birthday bash a few days back.
Also spotted was the Bong Bomshell, Sushmita Sen , Lara Dutta who will be making her sensous presence felt in hosting the show, the two coincidently are part of the upcoming
hilarious, David Dhavan-Govinda jackpot-duo flick ‘Do not Disturb’, a Big Pictures and Puja Films joint venture, a premier teaser of which will be revealed in Macau. The other stars of the movie Riteish Deshmukh who will be co-hosting the event, David Dhavan have also touched ground at Macau a few hours back. Also seen was the evergreen Rajesh Khanna, slated to receive Lifetime Achievement laurel on the finale day.
The record grows seemingly longer with hot sightings from major biggies like Ashutosh Gowarikar, Shabana Azmi, Boman Irani who is co-hosting the event, Ritesh Siddhwani, 
Ash-Abhi-Big-B sans Jaya Bachchan, Malika joining hubby dear Zayed Khan. The hunk brigade of Ranbir Kapoor, Jackky Bhagnani and Arjun Rampal were also spotted.
Appearances of prominent stars of the likes of the major Khans including Salman, Shah Rukh, Saif and Aamir are strongly rumoured to be absent from the event. A strange paradox as Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan are the forefront runners with nominations in their films, ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and ‘Ghajini’, respectively.
