A whooping 9 million album sales in mere few weeks post the Pop Star Michael Jackson’s demise, definitely establishes his value as the undisputed King of Pop. Jackson’s ex-boss and former chairman cum CEO of Sony Music, Tommy Mottola, reveals that there is treasure trove of sorts of Jackson’s unreleased songs dating way back to Jackson’s halcyon days of initial part of 1980.
There were two upcoming albums that Jackson was involved in at the point in time of his death. One is an exemplary instrumental piece and the other is a pop album that has tracks produced by Akon and Will.I.Am along with several additional songs that Jackson had done recordings intended for his solo album.
Tommy stated that Jackson with his endless eagerness to expand his sound and work, would habitually record additional songs summing up to 30 on each of his consummate albums, to be able to offer a variety of songs to those producers. Mottola stated that the songs were potentially the finest songs that Jackson has made, but the fact that there were so many, that just a measured few got picked up. Numerous sources have revealed that there might be close to 100 or even more songs in the closet at the time of his death.

Jackson reportedly used to meet up with Queen during their tour to US. Jackson had become good friends with Freddie Mercury then and had recorded a few tracks together at Jackson’s residence.
