Chinatown’s Director Roman Polanski has been arrested in Switzerland. Director Roman arrived in Switzerland to accept an honorary award of lifetime achievement award at Zurich Film Festival.
Roman Polanski was taken into custody by native authorities on US warrant based on 1977 case. He was beseeched of committing unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor. Polanski run away from California in 1978 before he was sentenced for having sex with a 13-year-old girl later he was residing in France. On his way to award function, the Swiss police arrested him. Demand of Los Angeles legal representative and requested to arrest while en route to the film festival.
Officials of Swiss said they would not release Roman Polanski until the process is finished. Many of his best pals in Hollywood named it as arrest in Switzerland and added saying as silly, waste of time and money. The case has been spoiled by reports that the original judge handling this case despoiled the appeal. Request of victim Samantha Gailey later dropped entirely because this case was too difficult for her and her family. Legal representative of Polanski filed all the charge this year however, the request was not confirmed since the court requisite Polanski to be physically present in the court.
