Cirque Du Soleil-Green Carpet Splendor At IIFA 2009

The second day of IIFA 2009 commenced with unveiling of the briefings of forthcoming duo of ‘Do Knot Disturb’ and ‘Jail’. This is a unique initiative by IIFA to showcase and endorse the great talent that Indian Cinema has to offer to wide-ranging global viewers. Boman Irani, Sushmita Sen, Govinda, Lara Dutta, Retiesh Deshmukh, David Dhavan were present for the press meet to promote their film ‘Do knot Disturb’. Also seen were Mughda Godse, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Madhur Bhandarkar promoting their flick ‘Jail’ at the press meet.

Amitabh Bachchan was seen at the press conference revealing a splendid mask, the launch of the book ‘Bollywood in Posters’ and the latest edition of the famous People Magazine featuring Big B himself, along with dignitaries Pradeep Shrivastav and Sunil Tandon.

Also seen at the press briefings were the bubbly Sonam Kapoor, Peter Andre, Sanjay Khan, Sophie Chaudary seen chatting up filmmaker Ramesh Sippy, Resul Phookutty, Abbas, Mastan.

The green carpet event preceeding the Zaia music-dance-acrobat extravaganza was beaming with the star brigade in full attendance. One could see the pretty-as-punch Anushka Sharma in a black number, Genelia D’Souza in cropped hair looking pretty pink, Anil Kapoor, Director Ashutosh Gowarikar with wife Sunita and Director Ramesh Sippy with his wife Kiran.

Kabir Bedi looked the ever bit suave in his suited apparel with lady love, Parveen Dusanj in cuff who looked gorgeous in a black dress. Ila Arun was seen in her trademark traditional attire with daughter Ishita in tow. Sophie was seen in a pink hued hugging dress, while Sonam Kapoor looked spectacular in a rather eye-catching cut-sleeve, neck hugging dress.

Aishwarya Rai was seen pleasantly posing with her parents and later with Amitabh and Abhishek in front of the wax figurine of Big B. The legendary Randhir Rapoor was seen happily signing autographs and smiling for the shutterbugs.
