The face, cult-hair cut and blessed bodied famed actress Farrah Fawcett breathed her last breath at 9:28 a.m. on June 25. She was ailing from anal cancer since late 2006 and was undergoing extensive chemotherapy sessions and surgery. Her situation worsened after the disease reached her liver after which the treatment was discontinued in May this year. She died at the age of 62 after combating cancer for a protracted period of time.
Her close and steady mate for 17 long years, Ryan O’Neal was her pillar of strength through her tough times during the cancer treatments and also was by her bedside at the Santa Monica hospital during her last moments. She is survived by her 24-year old son Redmond O’Neal who is presently behind bars for illegal possession of drugs in a Detention Centre in Calif.
She had a string of Golden Globe and Emmy nominations and was renowned for her famed role as the effervescent Jill Munroe in the popular tele-series ‘Charlis’s Angels’. She hogged the limelight when she first posed in a red-hot swim suit for a poster that sold millions of copies and catapulted her to star status. After Charlie’s Angels, Farrah went on to effectively don several stage and screen roles of prime significance. Her skin show in Playboy issue of December ‘95 sold like hot cakes and made the highest sales during the 90’s era.
