The IIFA Fashion Extravaganza 2009 bore witness to the film honcho Amitabh Bachchan turning ace-photographer as Bachchan gleefully captured many memorable moments on camera. The second day of IIFA 2009 commenced with unveiling of the briefings of forthcoming duo of ‘Do Knot Disturb’ and ‘Jail’. This is a unique initiative by IIFA to showcase and endorse the great talent that Indian Cinema has to offer to wide-ranging global viewers. Boman Irani, Sushmita Sen, Govinda, Lara Dutta, Retiesh Deshmukh, David Dhavan were present for the press meet to promote their film ‘Do knot Disturb’. Also seen were Mughda Godse, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Madhur Bhandarkar promoting their flick ‘Jail’ at the press meet.

As the pompous rolling out of the prestigious green carpet ensues yet again for the grand spectacle of IIFA 2009 at Macau, gracefully beckoning the who’s who of the filmdom, the eager onlookers could just stay gasped at the close quarter views of their famed heroes.
The prominent photo – ops were those of Abhishek-Aishwarya as they posed gleefully, their second joint appearance in a row since Cannes that just saw the lights last month. Aishwarya was seen mingling with the crowds as she looked ravishing in a black and silver dress. As the eagerly anticipated decade old IIFA kicks off to a shimmering start at Macau with a string of events spanning through the day. The first day of IIFA commenced with a Press conference at 10 in the morning. Thumping gala n’ galore happenings at the pre-event cocktail session are in the offing for the evening. A bevy of stars were seen strutting their stuff on the splendid Green Carpet at 7 onwards in the evening.

Those with bated breaths to catch the sizzling belly dance number of the lissom Kareena Kapoor to the song ‘Marjani’ from ‘Billu Barber’ will be left will fraught feelings as the oh-so-professional actress has dumped the show in the last few days preceding the event, with reports citing a muddle between the event organisers and the Billu babe.
