The Sherry Hormann helmed movie ‘Desert Flower’ that premiered at the Venice Film Festival sheds light on the implausible journey of a ex-model Waris Dirie who turns crusader in the fight against female genital mutilation. The story replete with drama revolves around Dirie played by Ethiopia-based model Liya Kebede who at the tender age of thirteen is forced to get into arranged marriage. In a bid to escape the imminent, she ultimately winds up in London – It is truly an eye-opener that at such a tender age she underwent circumcision is what proffers the movie its emotional core.
Even as the movie is based on her biography, the film has undertaken a level of arty authorization, turning out to be an unusual mixture of dramedy with fine star casts like Sally Hawkins, Timothy Spall and Juliet Stevenson.

In the David Mckenzie directed ‘Spread’, Ashton dons the role of a young Casanova, Nikki who is well aware of his strongest assets and how he uses them to the hilt to woo his way through the hearts of successful, affluent women to achieve a privileged life.
The 46-year old Demi looked ravishing in a purple dress as she happily posed alongside her husband and Rummer, her 20-year old daughter from her past marriage to Bruce Willis. The 2009 ESPY Awards held in the Nokia Theatre, LA, hosted by Samuel Jackson, saw celebs from the sports and entertainment fraternity came together to venerate key sports accomplishments, reminisce cherished moments and give salutation to those who performed at the gala awards night.
Sports Celebs were seen flouncing their fashionable attire on the green themed red carpet in a noble effort to tender a nonaligned carbon occasion. Wind and Solar power were utilized to produce energy for the press tent area.

In just four short days subsequent to the loss of the pop idol, BET re-arranged most of its scheduled performances as a mark of reverence. The magnificence of the remarkable romance blockbuster ‘Jodha Akbar’ notably garnered the awards in most categories like Best Picture, Best Actor by the suave Hrithik Roshan and Best Director- Ashutosh Gowarikar.
