With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, movie makers appear all set to make the most of this day. A bevy of stars lined up at the red carpet in Los Angeles for the world premiere of ‘Valentine’s Day’ that took place at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, Hollywood Boulevard.

Over the weekend Sun Life Stadium, Maimi bore witness to enthralling performances by several talented artists. Taking to the stage Carrie Underwood gave a live performance of ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ in front of a sea of onlookers of Super Bowl XLIV. Donning a white outfit, Underwood performed prior to the game between teams Colts and Saints flagging off. Fireworks light the sky on conclusion of Underwood’s set.

FIFA World Cup 2010 sports central body has announced a major concert highlighting music, sport of South Africa held at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg. It is a three-hour show in collaborations with international stars and top African artists and appearances of football legends. This event is happening for the first time and will take place a day before the opening ceremony and beginning of first game.
Kevin Wall who produced staging show, Live 8 and Live Earth will broadcast the concert around the world; production team behind the concert and tickets details is yet to be announced in January. Artists performing at the celebration concert will be announced close to the show date. Among the many luminaries that attended the 66th Venice Film Festival were Nicolas Cage, Eva Mendes and George Clooney. With 24 movies vying for the festival’s esteemed Golden Lion accolade, there seems to be stiff competition with the one to be chosen winner being decided by a panel of judges headed by Taiwan-based director Ang Lee.
